Mode of Operation:The
DZM controller is designed to monitor rotating machinery and to give an alarm
output (relay changing state) when the speed of the machine drops below the set
value. When powered up the internal relay energises and the time period starts.
An input signal, usually from a proximity sensor, is generated as the machine
rotates. If the time interval between pulses exceeds the time set on the ZM3
then the relay will de-energise.
The use of a three decade digital push-push switch
enables accurate and repeatable setting of the desired time.
Any subsequent input pulses will reset the DZM and restart the time period. If the automatic resetting of the
DZM is unwanted
then a latching version is available that will only be reset by removing the
power supply.
