Application
This product has been evolved from our standard CT6/LSR
Laser Tachometer to facilitate the measurements of very high
speed small shaft machines, such as dental drilling
equipment, gyros, air motors and similar low torque high
speed devices.
This special version has the same general specification
and operates in the normal mode for normal speed measurement
applications.
Function - High speed mode
Using the LN1 lens adaptor, under controlled conditions this
product can operate without reflective tape in applications
where applying a self-adhesive reflective marker would be
impractical due to high velocity surface speeds causing the
target to become detached from a shaft.
A non reflective "target" is required, this can be
an existing object, for example a key-way, a slot or hole in
a shaft or disc etc.
Alternatively, a patch of non-reflective matt paint can be
applied, to a polished shaft, or conversely a gloss paint
can be used on a non-reflective shaft surface.
There is an integral sensitivity control which requires
adjustment to suit the specific application conditions,
settings will vary according to the application.
