People Counting Systems PCS100 and Sensors
The PC500 system is designed to monitor the flow of people into and out of buildings. Using microprocessor technology the system can monitor a single doorway and can differentiate between people entering and leaving. Four types of sensor heads are available,a scanning infra red (PSH20), a single beam (PSH4) and a dual beam (PSH6) photoelectric types and a PIR, passive infra red, (PSH5). The scanning infra red is mounted above the entrance and can cover a wide area. It is the most accurate type of sensor as it can count multiple people crossing through the programmed sensing area simultaneously. It can cover wide entrances where many people are entering and leaving at the same time and can be linked together for very wide entrances such as found in shopping malls and theme parks. An outdoor version that is weather proof is also available. Normally the single beam photoelectric type is used in doorways with traffic flow in one direction and the dual beam with bi-directional traffic. The PIR type is used when is is difficult to install a reflector (it can be ceiling or wall mounted) or where the greater range of 5 metres is required. With it's wide range of sensor options this system can be used in many applications. The base unit is powered from the AC line and is connected to the remote sensor heads using any 3 core cable (the sensors operate at 12 volts) giving very simple installation of the system. The display unit can be programmed to count the total number of visitors or the population of a building or room. The totals are displayed on a five digit LED display and are reset with a key operated switch that prevents unauthorized operation. [Home] |
